As you know, our decision to finish when we did was driven by Christine’s pregnancy and our need of a guest bedroom. Before we began, I had a concern that the basement would feel dark and relatively uninviting, since we have only one small window well down there. In reality, the design, flow, and color of the basement make it a place where we want to spend time. From the theater to the bedroom to the workout space to the storage areas, it all works exceptionally well. So, we love the finished product.

As far as the building process goes, it couldn’t have been simpler for us. The Basements & Beyond staff and contractors were polite and friendly when we encountered them. Most of the time, however, they came and went so discreetly that we experienced very little sense of having workmen in our living space for 3 months. When we had to choose fixtures, carpeting, etc., the scheduling always occurred in a manner most convenient for us. Perhaps the most impressive part of this process was Wes’ ability to estimate – and his willingness to guarantee – a completion date. Just as he promised, we had an incredible basement, including a comfortable space for visitors, just weeks before the twins arrived.

In short, you guys did a fantastic job. We would enthusiastically recommend Basements & Beyond to anyone who wants the assurance of a easy process that ends with a great new living space.
