Basement Bathroom Renovation

Our client wanted to enhance their existing finished basement by remodeling the powder bathroom to create a more spa like bath that they and their guests would enjoy. The bathroom had to contain a jetted tub, steam shower, vanity and toilet. We were limited to the size we could make the new bathroom since it was already a finished space. Therefore, we came up with the idea of designing a “wet room” whereby the jetted tub, shower and steam room would be in one location. Part of the tub deck doubles as a bench seat and the area is encased in 3/8” Euro glass. A textured 12” x 18” tile was used on the walls and ceiling to give the shower area a contemporary look. The client selected a Ronbow vanity, a Toto toilet, and Delta shower and faucet trims.

The client loves the new look and told us that the new bath has been the focal point of their house parties.

The Colorado Awards for Remodeling Excellence, known as the CARE awards, are the largest and longest running contest recognizing remodeling of all types, including both commercial and residential. Categories are numerous, and include kitchens, bathrooms, green building, and much more. Unlike other HBA-sponsored design contests, CARE is open to all, not just members of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver or its Remodelers Council. CARE awards are judged blind by local volunteers, making it a fair competition that recognizes excellence in remodeling, no matter the authorship
