Lowry Award Winning Basement
This project took first place in the 2010 Luxury Basement for Colorado Award for Remodeling Excellence. The clients wanted a place for the family to relax, watch TV, read books and do crafts. From a flooring option standpoint they asked for stained concrete in all the areas except the bedroom, which turned out excellent.
For a cozy feel we added a gas fireplace with a stained mantle and stained bookcases. A wet bar with granite slab countertops and java stained cabinets offered a great contrasting look. A hidden bookcase door to the side of TV gives away to additional storage.
The full bathroom had subway tile walls with a custom vanity.
The craft room was designed with a sewing table and plumbed for a stackable washer and dryer unit.
This project really came to life with the homeowner's phenomenal decorating taste.
