Fillmore Traditional Remodel
This traditional basement in an older Denver home has been finished with a wine cellar, wet bar, family room and bathroom. The low ceilings make designing a functional basement layout tricky, but still possible. Using every space available, including underneath the stairs for the wet bar cabinetry, as well as storage for the media equipment frees up valuable square footage that can now be allocated to more usable space. The stairwell was opened up to the basement, with new traditional painted spindles, a stained treads and risers and a classic styled newel post that complement the age of the home. This was continued from the main to second level to match throughout the residence. Natural stone in the shower gives it a natural look while oil-rubbed bronze fixtures accent the bath.
